A dark light from underneath appears and slowly rises in brightness, revealing Raphael, then Michelangelo, Donatello, and finally Leonardo. Shadows hide most of their features, but you can see the tails of the bandanas flapping in a silent breeze.
"Damn it!" Raph growls to himself. The sound of a cane whistling through the air is heard and the red-banded turtle winces, and we all know that the cane found it's mark, then for some reason, he smashes his fist in the nearest brick wall. "How the shell could we lose April and Casey to those thugs?"
Another figure emerges from the shadow; an old rat with his piercing eyes joins the brothers
"Master Splinter" Leonardo's heavy heart felt slightly comforted with his father's presence. Yet hope wasn't seen in his eyes, even Splinter was concerned about their human friends' kidnapping.
Splinter noticed Raphael overlooking his now bleeding fist. Once the hothead became aware that his father was looking at his injury, he quickly turned hiding his fresh wound. The rat sighed leaving his comments of Raph's actions for another time, "My sons, this is no way to be acting, we must arrange a way to retrieve Mr. Jones and Ms. O'Neil."
Leo sighs, realizing that their sensei is right but guilt lingers at their loss. "How could I let this happen? How could I have not protected them?" he mutters to himself. Like the leader he is, Leonardo feels as if the results of this night are his fault. The feeling that he lacked in skill when he should have protected his friends pierces him.
"Come, my sons. This is not the safest place to dwell on what has happened. Let us return home and plan out our preparations." the wise rat advised them as the dawn was approaching.
Immediately after getting home, Don sits at his computer, his head reeling. Going through shots of footage as time passes by, he becomes impatient and hopeless. "It all happened so fast; not even these shell forsaken cameras catch a thing. It was pointless to have even tried to chase them." He bangs his fists into the keyboard, and lays his head in his hands.
Mikey sits on the couch, staring at the blank TV screens. "One minute we were all so happy: Casey was acting like a drunken fool, April was laughing, and everything was perfect. What could have gone wrong?" The youngest leans back, his azure eyes are slightly red, as if he hasn't slept for a while.
Splinter watches all of his sons handle their friends' latest kidnapping. He pulls out a folded letter out of his robes and sighs. Silently he walks over to the genius, handing him the paper, "I think this should help you four, just-" his voices cracks, a rare moment of vocal anxiety finding its way to the surface. "Be careful and watch your steps, this is the mob you'll be dealing with." Despite the fact that the mutants were accepted by the majority of society didn't mean they were liked. Or if it was that they were tolerated by all humans. Don stands up without a word and goes off to gather his brothers.

Mikey thought it was kinda fun to dress up for the occasion, even if it was for a grave reason. Raph has his dark emo style simple but it had its flair. Don went for a classic appearance, with his own twist. Leo went with traditional Japanese dress with a certain dark elegance to it. A single flash of the letter from Splinter got them in, and they were in the most powerful place on earth. It was filled to the brim with influential people, most illegal. They weren't they only mutants in the party, but they were the only mutant men, as the others were women fawning over a rich man.
Each brother's eyes had a certain hardness to them that made the crowd divide before them. Soon they were facing the head honcho, sitting on a throne overlooking the entire room. "What can I do for you gentlemen?" The words seemed innocent, but they had a deeper, darker meaning. One that could get you killed.
Leo walked forward, looking up to meet the man eyes. "You have two friends of ours, and we'd like them back." These words too had that dangerous edge to them. "And who might your friends be?" Came the lazy reply, floating on that air, as did the cigar smoke that followed them.
"If we're going to do business, then may we do it in private?" Donne slid into the transaction effortlessly, as he figured the mobster was trying to get rid of them. The man heaved his heavy self up and gestured for the four ninjas to follow him. They were escorted down several corridors by some very dangerous men. Some of the world's most dangerous in fact, if you didn't count a certain rat.
Hearts were beating, brows were furled, and two lives were on the line. Words and offers were tossed, glares were thrown, and fights ensued. By the grace of God and probably a good amount of luck, the four mutants walked out with their friends, and several phone numbers.
