I’ll turn 21 in Memphis Tennessee.
I’ll have spent several months living in a city,
Living with and assisting my grandmother,
While she recovers from a stroke, and muscular dystrophy.
Memphis is the largest place I had ever lived.

I expected less of a culture shock.
Both my mom and my dad gave me lectures and speeches on how to be more cautious and careful.

It means I can

Chucks and Shining Armor
I go to a school
That must be Cupid's target practice.
Everyone dates, and marries and loves,
It seems, everyone-
But
Me.
I've never had a boyfriend,
I've never been kissed,
And I don't know if
I'll find my knight wearing
Green chucks.
I can hope,
I can dream,
But I don't know.
I don't know what it is
To a have a guy tell you
He likes you,
To squeal and giggle
As you prepare for a date,
But someday I might,
I just don't know
If I'll find my knight wearing
Green chucks.
I'm not a fashion expert,
I don't know if medieval armor matches
Green chucks.
But I can hope and I can dream,
Maybe my Prince and I will meet

Ella's God-sister 2nd Revision
"Ella, Ella, dear, please stop crying." I looked at my best friend, who was currently sobbing, and sporting a hand print on her cheek. I've always been an older sister figure to Ella, and it hurts me when she hurts. Ella is about 21, and I, at 35, am a good bit older.
But I knew her father, and my parents were her Godparents. I've always loved my God-sister, as did my family, and we are always here for her when she needs away from her step-mother and -sisters. They are, without a doubt, some of the most horrible people you'd ever meet, to abuse a girl such as Ella. And I had no doubt her stepmother had put that handprint on her. As Ella dr

A Battle's Choice 1st revision
A rocket bursts into the sky, giving a split second of light to the ebony world. Gun shots can be heard, and so can the calls of war. A girl, in the middle of now empty battle field, looks down at the corpses that surround her, then at the young man standing not far from her. Each of them holds a staff, and is robed in a cloak corresponding to their Eternal Callings.
A groan is heard from the soldier, not anything but a mere boy, at her feet. His eyes flutter, and the young warrior looks up to the young woman now crouched above him, her eyes filled with sadness. "Are you an angel? Am I dead?" he murmurs, and she realizes he is French, for
Jessamine ran swiftly, trying to avoid the spots she knew would get her caught. Sebastian galloped little ways behind her, anger clouding his face and his judgment. How dare they do this!
How dare they punish the children for their parent's mistakes! So his mother had fallen in love with a stagman, doesn't mean you chase him out of town with pitchforks. His hands instinctively went for the bow on his back, only to remind him that his father's bow and arrows were at his home, which he was sure had be lit on fire by now.
That only made him angrier, knowing they had looted and must now be burning everything he ever had. Everything their fath

Chase Reinhardt couldn't think of a worse place to even think of anything emotional, being in the middle of a firefight. But the stupid worry had crossed his mind, and it refused to vacate. Ve Sama crouched down beside him, behind an upturned table, recognizing his friend's worried look. "She's going to be alright, you know. Michaela and Anna are with her, and soon you will be as well."
Chase ran a hand through his hair, sighing. His wife had gone into labor, was having their newest child, and he was here, several hours away in the middle of a hostag

Tetronix's AU- my way
"If I had known two showers would make me feel better, I would've done that a couple of hours ago." I mutter. Cesar, noticing that I still favor my left foot, cocks his head to the side, that familiar questioning look on his face. "I said better, not perfect." He mumbled something about me being an idiot. "And you're not, Mr. Oblivious-to-the-World?" Rex then stumbled into the room, and it took a minute to realize what was going on, and him teenage mind went to work. I was standing, in a towel, my hands on my hips, glaring up at his brother. When Rex snickered, Cesar looked down at me, suddenly blushing. I realized what his brother was thinki
